Wading through Treacle
Today is one of those days where Im constantly wishing the day away. The kids are acting up, Jacks shattered and taking it out on anyone who gets in his way and Lukes going through his hitting stage. No matter what I try to do I cant get anything done properly without having to stop constantly and break up some sort of fight.
Karls rung me to get me to ring our mortgage company about moving and Ive not had chance. Ive rung them three times so far and every time I ring I end up having to put the phone down and stop them hitting or screaming at each other. Its hard work but I keep focussed on the fact that it wont be like this forever. In the next few months we should hopefully have a garden that they can go and play out in and Jack starts nursery in september so I will have more time to focus just on Luke. Its also getting more springlike every day so we should be able to go and feed the ducks, go to the park etc without freezing after five minutes.
We’re off to MumĀ and Dads tonight for our usual thursday visit so no doubt I will get lots of “Emma, jack/luke needs his bum changed” Emma they want a drink” ” Emma he’s picked that up and he’s not supposed to”
I know Karls been at work all day, but I sometimes wish that people would realise that Ive not exactly been sat doing nothing all day and that sometimes instead of spending five minutes moaning about the fact that Jacks nappy needs changing again they would just do it for me! Drives me crackers when Im running round sorting juice and food out Im being shouted for to come and do something else while everyones sat watching the kids doing whatever it is that they shouldnt be. Its like Im the only one with a pair of hands! I appreciate they are my kids, but would it really kill to give me a break and a hand with them every so often?????They are iwth me 90% of my waking day.
Anyway, I didnt intend my first post in my new blog to be such a whinge, Im off to make the most of the half an hour or so break that I will have today. I think coffee and a slice of toast is in order!
